Cataracts: Cataract Symptoms



You may notice a problem with your vision at any time during the development of a cataract.

The pictures on the right show a good example of normal vision compared to vision impaired by a cataract.







Any of the following symptoms may occur:




  • Blurred or fuzzy vision
  • A film or fog interfering with vision
  • Difficulty driving, particularly at night
  • Glare or halos around objects and lights
  • Difficulty reading or sewing
  • Sensitivity to bright light
  • Frequent changes or cleaning of eyeglasses
