VICTUS™ Femtosecond Laser Platform

VICTUS Femtosecond Laser PlatformHere at Palm Coast Eye Center, we strive to provide the latest technologies and products for our patients. VICTUS™ Laser is a newer method for cataract surgery which eliminates the use of the traditional blade surgery. Laser surgery for cataract removal has not only proven to be more accurate ad precise in eradicating cataracts, but also has shown to be a more comfortable procedure for patients.

With traditional cataract surgery, physicians manually remove a cataract using a blade, sound waves, suction and irrigation to break up and remove the clouded lens. With the newest technology that the VICTUS™ Femtosecond Laser Platform provides, physicians remove the clouded lens through laser beams. The laser emits a rapid pulse rate which allows a portion of the cataract procedure to be completed in just a few seconds.

The VICTUS™ machine creates a real-time, three-dimensional image of the eye in need of cataract surgery. This new imaging technology aids Dr. Weinkle in planning and monitoring the operation before and during the procedure. VICTUS™ enhances our ability to offer the latest and most advanced technologies for cataract surgery so that our patients can receive the best care and expected results.
